Courses should incorporate diverse perspectives and primary sources whenever possible; pay great attention to the processes of writing and critical thinking, where students are required to create their own well-reasoned arguments and evaluate the arguments or work of others; and include a strong focus on values and ethics as practiced by the discipline or the larger community.
