Planning ahead for the cost of college is an important part of ensuring your time at bc体育足球 is successful.
- You can file your FAFSA and the bc体育足球 general scholarship application any time after December1 prior to the year you plan to start classes.File by January 1 for priority consideration for grants and scholarships with limited funding.
- As part of the financial aid process, NYstudents can file for state aid after completing the FAFSA.
Suggested due date:As soon as the FAFSA application is available.
Your success navigator is your go-to person as you prepare for college!They’ll help you with everything from logging into your bc体育足球 accounts to finding the right support services for you as a bc体育足球 Jayhawk.
Learn your Mybc体育足球 login:
As a bc体育足球 student, you’ll use your Mybc体育足球 login for your student accounts.
Meeting with your success navigator is a required step before starting classes.
- Sign up for a Get Connected session to meet your navigator and get started!
- Can’t make those dates or times work? Find your assigned Success Navigator by logging into Starfish and selectingyour Success Network.
New students must complete the Sexual Assault Prevention, AlcoholEdu, and Anti-hazing trainings online before moving forward in the registration process. These trainings will be sent to your bc体育足球 student email, and the subject line will have "Vector" in it.These trainings must be completed annually.

Suggested due date:As soon as possible - trainings must be done before you meet with an advisor to register for classes.
All full-time students must meet with an advisor before registering for classes. It is highly recommended that part-time students do this, as well.Class registration for the fall term typically begins in April, while spring term registration begins in November.

Suggested due date:As soon as registration opens - get your classes before they fill up!
All students:
- Submit your immunization records and health forms to the Health Center.
- Suggested due date:As soon as possible,no later than one week before classes begin.
- Complete and sign the financial responsibility agreement (FRA)each semester to confirm your registration.
- Suggested due date:Immediately after registering for classes,no later than the posted FRA dates.
NY State residents:
- If required, complete your certificate of residence every academic year to ensure you receive the NYS tuition rate.
- Suggested due date: Can be submitted up to 60 days (about twomonths) before the start of the semester.
Students who want to live on the Jamestown Campus:
- Apply for on-campus housing, which is available on our Jamestown Campus.
- Suggested due date: You can apply as soon as the housing application is live on the site, but no later than August 1for the fall or January 1for the spring.
Get your course materials:
- Included in your student bill is the Jayhawk Book Bundle, which covers the cost of your books. You will need to either verify or opt out of the bundle.
- Suggested due date: Three weeks before classes begin.
Get your student ID card:
- bc体育足球 student ID cards are used to access meal plans, Hillside Suites, and other services on campus.
- Suggested due date: Attend an Accepted Student Day and get yourStudent ID! You can also get your ID when you move into campus or during the first week of classes.
Attend new student orientation:
- All new students are required to attend new student orientation the week before classes start.
- Suggested due date:Dates will be available online and shared with students closer to the start date.
