Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society

About Phi Theta Kappa

Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society for two-year college students that focuses on academic achievement, service, and other standards set by bc体育足球’s chapters. Established in 1918, PTK is active on almost 1,300 community college campuses with approximately 250,000 active members.

PTK is separate from bc体育足球’s Honors program, and is not involved in specific coursework at bc体育足球.

Benefits of joining PTK

Membership in PTK is initiated by bc体育足球 with a formal invitation. If you are invited but the membership fee creates financial hardship, contact bc体育足球’s PTK advisors for possible financial opportunities.

Membership Eligibility
  • You must have completed at least 12 hours of coursework that may be applied to an associate degree (part-time students may be eligible).
  • You must generally have a grade point average of 3.5.
  • You must receive an invitation to membership from the chapter.
  • You must adhere to the moral standards of the society.
