Hyflex
Combines online and face-to-face instruction. Students may participate in different ways: online - synchronous, online - asynchronous, face-to-face, or as a flexible learner (student has a degree of choice as to how they participate each week).
Flex
Flex courses may provide students with the opportunity to meet in-person on campus, on the synchronous days and times already scheduled, if conditions allow.
Imputed credits
Imputed credits are developmental courses for students who need to prepare themselves for college-level work. They count toward financial aid requirements but do not count toward earned college credits or GPA.
Interactive TV
Classes are taught live from one campus location and broadcast to one or more additional campus locations. Cameras and microphones at all sites allow faculty and learners to see and talk with each other.

This course engages first-year students in hands-on academic exploration while preparing them to navigate the challenges and opportunities of higher education. Students will develop the intellectual skills needed for college-level inquiry by actively exploring the various sides of a single, challenging question or issue. While the specific topic of inquiry varies from section to section, all instructors employ a problem-based, interdisciplinary approach to learning that helps students make connections across fields of study. Students will engage their critical thinking skills as they generate questions, organize information, evaluate evidence, and weigh alternative perspectives. HONORS Project I — 3636

Honors students are required to successfully complete two one-credit, project-based honors courses which are related to courses in which they are currently enrolled or have recently completed. Each project must include some form of applied learning: field-work, internship, service learning, innovative/creative project, and/or undergraduate research. After registering, the students will be guided by the honors program coordinator and their advisors to identify a course to which to link the project and a faculty instructor. Science Connections — 3081

Science Connections is an experiential course that is designed for students who are passionate about science, education, and outreach. This course offers the opportunity to design and teach hands-on science lessons to elementary school students. Throughout the course, participants will explore key principles of science and education, develop engaging, age-appropriate lessons, and gain experience leading science activities in local elementary classrooms. Students will work collaboratively to create lessons that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of science. Prerequisite: ENG 1510. Institutional Course Syllabus
