You'll find a variety of resources and services at Jamestown Community College to help you succeed incollege life and reach your higher education goals.

Early Registration

bc体育足球 provides priority registration to veterans, active duty military, reservists, and National Guard. Your fall and spring semester registration will take place one week prior to traditional students.

Submit your DD214 member-4 copy to your school certifying official today take advantage of bc体育足球’s priority registration.

Military Honor Cords

In recognition of military service, all graduating veterans, active duty military, reservists, andNational Guard members receive a red, white, and blue honor cord to wear at their commencement. The honor cord is presented at an annual ceremony each spring semester.

In addition, all graduating veterans, active duty military, reservists, andNational Guard members are encouraged to purchase a military stole at bc体育足球’s campus bookstore to wear at their commencement.

New York State Tuition for Qualifying Out-of-state Veterans

bc体育足球 offers qualifying veterans, active duty military, reservists,National Guard members, and military dependents who live outside of New York state the in-state tuition rate.

Physical Education Credit

You may be eligible to receive credit for physical education. Submit a copy of your Member 4 DD-214 to Military@sunyjcc.edu, mail, or deliver to Jamestown Community College Office of the Registrar, 525 Falconer Street, Jamestown, NY 14701.

bc体育足球 offers the Veterans' Scholarship in Memory of Traci Maybach, as well as a curated list of local and NYS military scholarships.

Transition Support
  • Peer2Peer program: service designed to help incoming studentstransition successfully into college life
  • Accessibility Services: can assist veterans whose injuries present challenges toacademic success
    • The office regularly works with veterans with PTSD, TBIs, mobility, orthopedic, and sensory impairments to help achieve success in the classroom and in testing situations
    • Accessibility Servicesalso offers a variety of assistive technology, software, and equipment
Veterans Clubs

bc体育足球's veterans' clubs on each campus providea friendly and engaging environment to interact with your peerswho may share many of the same struggles, excitement, concerns, andinterests. Our veterans' clubs aim to assist in the transition from soldier to civilian and student by providing support, resources, activities, and camaraderie for our returning military men and women and their family members and significant others.

Veterans' Lounges

The veterans' lounges provide study and recreation space for our military-aligned students, as well asan opportunity to meet and socialize with other veterans and service members. Youcan access veteran-specific materials relating to campus resources, education benefits, scholarships, VA benefits, community-based veterans organizations, and upcoming campus and community veterans events.
